Alvie Hensley Accidentally Killed
Alvie Hensley of the London community was shot and killed by his
twelve year old son while out driving Saturday. They spied a rabbit
near the road and the father told the boy to kill it. In some
way while loading the gun it went off and the charge passed thru
the back of the front seat and tore a gaping wound in his fathers
side. Mr. Hensley was immediately rushed to Brady for treatment
but could not recover. The remains were brought back to London
for burial which was held Monday. He leaves a wife and seven children
the oldest of which is twelve.

Peter Anderegg, the superintendent of the local light and gin plant had his right arm torn off in the gin stand, Saturday afternoon. Mr. Anderegg was cleaning out the stand which had become clogged and had propped up the stand with a stick which slipped down while his hand was in the gin knives. The hand was torn from the arm and the muscles of the arm badly lacerated. His helper, Mr. McDonald managed to tie up the arm and rush him to a doctor. The arm was taken off above the elbow.
