June 11, 1936- Menard Messenger

Just a word to Pioneers. We have asked for biographical sketches of all persons who have lived here about forty years or longer. We are short several at the present time and if you are one who has failed to fill out the form, kindly do so immediately and send to The Messenger or the Chamber of Commerce. We hope to mention every pioneer in the county in the pioneer paragraphs. Your cooperation will be a great help to us.

In this edition the Messenger will reflect the history of Menard county from the date the Presidio of San Saba was established. It will contain numerous stories of pioneer life in this section and brief sketches of more than 100 Menard county pioneers. All in all, it will be an edition well worth preserving and one you will want to send to friends and relatives living elsewhere.

Have a Question or Comment About My Web Site?

Due to the increasing amount of "spam" I'm receiving from email "harvesters", I only publish my email link in jpg form. I am sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you...but I'm really tired of the "advertising trash" that is filling up my email box..
