Birth Announcements(NOTE: These are a few announcements I either transcribed from the Menard News or someone donated to the site. It is NOT a COMPLETE listing and is not alphabetized....but ordered by year. Some birth announcements for Ft. Mckavett area will be listed HERE) 1915The Menard Messenger (page 6) L. A. H. Placker and wife are rejoicing over a fine baby girl which the stork brought to their home Sunday, December 29th. It's all fine for them but just think of that young lady's beaus when she grows up. They will have to buy two pieces of jewelry in the same week. Mr. and Mrs. Butler Fowler are the proud parents of a fine baby girl arriving at their home on New Year's Day. The Menard Messenger (page 5) A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Chas Hubbell, Wednesday. A fine baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Peterson of North Menard last Friday morning.
1917The Menard Messenger Page 5 An eight pound baby girl was born, Saturday, to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ellis and the young lady has been named Peggy Marie. The Menard Messenger BIRTHS Dr. T. M. Gordon reports the birth of a seven pound boy to Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Bounds of Hext, Tuesday. Dr. Dozier reports the birth of a fine baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. George Menzies, Tuesday. The Menard Messenger Dr. Dozier reports the birth of a nine pound boy on March 30 to Mr and Mrs. S A McDonald of Hext and a nine pound boy to Mr and Mrs. Chas. Davis of Hext, March 31st. The Menard Messenger Dr. Dozier reports the birth of an 8 lb. girl on April 25th to Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bennett. The Menard Messenger (page 5) The Menard Daily Messenger (page 3) Mr. and Mrs. Andy Stewart are the proud parents of a new baby boy who arrived at their home last week and who will endeavor to tell them how to run their dairy business. The Menard Messenger (page 6) Lawson Kirkpatrick was in town Tuesday with vegetables and presented the editor with a nice large watermelon saying it was the finest in his patch but that it couldn't compare with the baby girl who arrived at their home last Sunday morning weighing eight pounds.
1918The Menard Messenger A new baby girl arrived at the Gay Sieker home Saturday morning and Gay declares it is the prettiest girl in all the world. Grandma and Grandpa Spiller are both wearing the smile that won't come off.
