Lori Bihl Dunn's Pictorial Tour of Opp/Bihl CemeteryPage 4
Pic Above: "This view is from Willi Bihl partial stone looking along back fence: William Eastwood, Ameal, Nathaniel, and Johnny in the far back corner. Johnny's stone is being turned by plants."
Pic Above: "These stones are : Nathanial S Bihl Oct 19 1888- Oct 24 1888. It has a sheep on top center and same inscription as Ameal. We had cleaned off large vegetation , although stump is left). this stone has been unreadable for years because of plant life. Ameala nd Natanial have footstones. The stone in the far right rear of cemetery has a cross on it's upper center and is that of "Johnny A Bihl b. Sept 14 1877 d. Jun 28 1893 Do not weep for little Johnny, he is in the gloden camp. Quickly was he hoisted skyward and said papa and mama meet me there." Johnny was a son of Frank and Mary Bihl. Thsi stone is being turned on it's base by the large out of control plant ( century plant??) You can see where we were attempting to chop it off ( the light colored area to the right of the stone) We needed a chainsaw. There is no way to get to the back of the fence due to overgrowth. Visitors beware: if there is something with a thorn on it .. it grows in this cemetery. These photos are after 2 days of clean-up and repair."
