Our Courthouse- Past and Present
NOTE: Before the below courthouse was built, I'm told that court business was held in the old Patrick Mires/Emil Toepperwein building. To see a picture of this building, go here.
The "official" Menardville courthouse was reportedly built about 1885. I believe the below picture is the earliest picture available.

The Menard County Courthouse was awarded a grant from the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program. In 2007, the major part of the renovation had been completed and the county officials were able to move back to the courthouse. See pictures of present courthouse after renovation HERE.
