Two Dead And Four Seriously Ill
Early Wednesday morning the town was shocked to learn of the family by the name of Caldwell had died in the early morning and that four other members of the family were seriously sick. It was thought they were probably poisoned from eating wet and swelled pecans picked up on the river, though all winter exposure in camping and working may have put the system in a run down condition. The family are now housed in one of the Sims houses across the river, and their comfort and welfare are being looked after by some of the good people of the town and nearby neighbors. The dead are Viola and May, age eight and three. A baby, the father, and two other children are sick.-------------Paint Rock, Concho Co. Herald
