MEXICAN KILLED
(Taken from the Eldorado Success)
Wednesday afternoon Luke Thompson, a young ranch man who ranches sixteen miles southeast of Eldorado, phoned the officers to come to his ranch because he had killed a Mexican. The officers went to the ranch and returned Thursday morning with Mr Thompson, who gave bond for Justice Doty in the sum of $2,000 awaiting the action of the grand jury.
Mr Thompson is practically a stranger here having bought the Irving ranch. The Mexican killed was named Juan Sanchos and had lived here about 10 years, but has no relatives here. He was in possession of a large dirk when found dead. He has had previous trouble several years ago with P. I. Elder and E. T. Sweatt. Mr Thompson, though a stranger here, readily gave bond.
