Menard County Texas

Index To Newspaper Articles

When I have time, I transcribe or copy old newspaper articles. For Menard, there are no newspaper copies from the time period before 1915, so I sometimes travel to other counties to look through their pre-1915 archives since I've found most papers published news from surrounding counties. Please note that each transcription will source what newspaper it came from.

Also understand that I am placing newspaper articles online by "category". You will need to look at the birth index for birth announcements and the marriage index for marriage announcements, etc.

Ft. McKavett Breeze - Ft. McKavett

The "Breeze" was a short-lived, weekly paper, published by Columbus Redmon when he moved to McKavett.

The following newspaper articles were transcribed from a microfilm copy purchased from a California University. To date, these are the only copies of the Ft McKavett Breeze newspaper that I have seen....or know to exist.
