TILLIE FRAZIER
Tillie Frazier, the eleven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Frazier,
of this city, died at the McCarvers sanitarium in Brownwood , Thursday
afternoon at 3:30 , of Bright’s disease. The remains were taken
to Llano for burial the following day. The little girl was sick but a
short time and the nature of her disease, kidney trouble caused local
physicians to advise the parents to take her to Temple for examination
by a specialist. It was while they were on their way that she began to
rapidly get worse and in Brownwood, Mr. Frazier took her to the hospital
where the doctors did everything possible to save the young life, but
in vain.
Tillie was a most lovable child and the pride of her parents. Her host
of girl and boy friends join with the friends of the family in extending
to the bereaved parents and her brothers and sisters their most sincere
sympathy in their great loss. Besides the father and mother, there are
eight brothers and sisters to mourn her untimely death.

Physician Crushed Under Overturned Car at Pecos City
Dr. Wm. Fenley died at the Pecos City hospital, Sunday evening from
injuries received in an auto accident which occurred Sunday afternoon
in that city. The doctor accompanied by L. E. Spring were driving into
town with another car of Menard men following. When on a corner they met
another car and in order to avoid a collision the doctor was forced into
a gully at the side and in turning a tire blew out and turned the front
wheel under breaking the axle and overturning the car.
Dr. Fenley was injured internally and lived but an hour after the accident.
He died at the hospital where he was immediately taken. Mr. Spring suffered
a badly sprained ankle but is thought otherwise not seriously injured.
Dr. Wm. Fenley was born in Uvalde, Texas, June 30, 1869, and came to
Menard, twenty one years ago.
He was married to Miss Maggie Johnston here, February 2nd, 1897. His
wife died August 2, 1916. Dr. Fenley leaves three daughters, viz: Willie

actively affiliated with the Masonic work of this city. At the time of
his death he was county health officer of this county, a position which
he has often held during his many years as physician and surgeon of Menard.
There is many a home here today which grieves with the family in their
loss, remembering the happiness and sorrows which he has shared with them
in days gone by.
A loving husband and father, he was wrapped up in a love for his wife
and children and mourned his wife continually since her death two months
ago. He was always active in the upbuilding of Menard and the civic life
of our city will miss him greatly in the days to come.
The funeral services will be held from the Christian Church, today Thursday,
at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Henderson, and under the auspices of the
Masonic Order of Menard.
Those in attendance at the funeral from out of town are Mrs. J. T. Fenley,
of Tucson, Arizona, the mother of the deceased; Mrs. Bettie Brown, sister,
of Sierra Blanco; Ivy Fenley brother, of El Paso; Miss Mamie O'Conner,
of Nashville, Tenn, a niece of Mrs. Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Murr, of Ft.
McKavett and Dr. and Mrs. McKnight of Carlsbad.

befallen them twice in so short a time.
