Aronia Juice Has Several Health Benefits

Aronia is a large genus of flowering shrubs, with the Aronia species making up nearly half of the entire genus. The common name “aronia” is derived from the Greek word for leaf and is therefore literally “leafy garden”. Aronia trees are found throughout most of the world with some species more common than others. In the United States, the most common tree is the wood-stemmed Aronia gemmularis or the red maple tree with about 25% of the species in the north central and southwest parts of the United States.
A few other genera of shrubs are known, however, including the cymbidium, or better yet, the Cyperus rotundus, which grows in almost all areas of the world. So, what does Aronia have to offer? It was chosen as one of the plants to represent the “World Tree” in 2021 by the World Health Organization. The World Health Organization is affiliated with the World Wildlife Fund and aims at conserving the Earth’s ecosystems. According to its purpose, the organization feels, “All living things, including plant material, should be preserved and protected for future generations”.
